New Official Deployer: Telecu

We are thrilled to share some exciting news! Telecu has become our new official deployer in Ecuador. This alliance represents a significant expansion for us and marks a transformative step towards greater regional internet coverage and access.

Joining Forces with Telecu

In our mission to bring connectivity to every corner of the world, we have formed a strategic partnership with Telecu, an internet service provider (ISP) renowned for its robust infrastructure and commitment to innovation. This collaboration will enable us to deploy Wayru Hotspots in locations where Telecu currently offers internet services, transforming these points into active nodes within our network.

Telecu will strategically install our Wayru Miners in high-traffic locations such as shopping centers, restaurants, and gyms. These sites will become enterprise-level hosts, offering high-quality and reliable connectivity. Additionally, Telecu will leverage our advanced WayruOS protocols to establish a secondary network over their public hotspots in busy areas. WayruOS, designed explicitly for decentralized network management, will help us expand our coverage efficiently by utilizing the existing infrastructure.

One of the standout features of our collaboration is the implementation of OpenRoaming and Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) protocols. These industry-leading protocols ensure seamless and secure WiFi connectivity across various hotspots. With OpenRoaming, users can move between different Wayru Hotspots without the need to re-authenticate, providing a truly uninterrupted internet experience. Integrating WBA standards ensures that our network maintains the highest security, reliability, and interoperability levels.

Impact on the Telecommunications Ecosystem

The alliance between Wayru and Telecu represents a geographic expansion and a significant advancement in Ecuador’s telecommunications ecosystem. Implementing a decentralized network and integrating blockchain technology will set new connectivity standards in the country.
